The way your NDIS plan is managed (NDIS-Managed, Plan-Managed, or Self-Managed) will guide how you can use your funding for Behaviour Support.
If your plan is NDIS-Managed, Behaviour Support can be funded from Capacity Building – Improved Relationships.
This area is designed specifically for Behaviour Assessments, Plan Development, and ongoing support.
If your plan is Plan-Managed, you have more flexibility.
Your Plan Manager pays invoices on your behalf, and Behaviour Support is usually still funded under Improved Relationships.
Your Plan Manager may also guide you on whether other categories align with your goals.
If your plan is Self-Managed, you have the greatest choice and control.
You can choose any suitable provider and use the funding that best supports your goals.
Most people still use Improved Relationships, but you have the flexibility to allocate funds where they fit best. Building a Balanced Approach for Positive Change
